The Naudic iCVT from Varibox CVT Technologies combines the best of CVTs and AMTs. The concept is based on a variable sprocket which alters ratios by either adding or removing a single tooth in the process of the chain engaging the sprocket. The primary difference between the Naudic innovation and the many other conventional CVTs on international patent databases, is that most of the others lack proper synchronisation, relegating them to very low rpm, low power applications such as in bicycles.
