Our European patent application on the rotorCVT has been granted and validations are in progress. The granted European specification, EP1592900B1, can be downloaded below. This design presents a complete drive train and includes the rotorCVT, a clutch, a forward gear, reverse gear, low gear and a differential. All this functionality is configured around the output axle making, use of a single planetary gear set.

The rotorCVT ratio range in the animation is 4.5 and if the low gear is taken into account 12.6.

However the CVT ratio range of 4.5 is not limited. No reduction gearing to the wheels is necessary, since the rotorCVT low ratio is 27:1 and high 6:1.

The market for this design include small and micro cars, agricultural quads, golf carts, lawn mowers and geared motors in the industrial market.
