Varibox CVT Technologies will be presenting a paper entitled "Test results of a RotorCVT (rotor based ratcheting CVT" at the CVT 2010 CVT hybrid international conference, MECC, Maastricht, The Netherlands 17-19 November 2010.

We are currently manufacturing a 40 Kw (70 N.m) front wheel drive RotorCVT transmission for application in a small passenger vehicle which will serve as a demonstrator vehicle. This transmission includes a geared neutral and therefore eliminates the need for a clutch or torque converter. It further includes hill holding capability while the mass of the transmission is in line with an equivalent AMT. Within the RotorCVT transmission, a RotorCVT is coupled to a two speed transmission to ensure a very wide ratio spread from geared neutral. Ratio actuation is via a 300 Watt electric motor.
