January 2009 marks the coming of age of Varibox CVT Technologies, previously known as Barloworld CVT Technologies, as we are now able to continue our endeavours as a separate entity from the Barloworld Group. Following a management buyout, as well as the investment of a number of investors, Varibox CVT Technologies was established.

We want to thank Barloworld for the period of time that they supported the R&D phase until we are now able to stand on our own feet, so to speak, and continue on our path to penetrate the gearbox industry and bring about major change in this industry.

The new Board is of the view that the branding and name of Varibox CVT Technologies is more focused on the core of the business and indicative to the market of the company’s purpose.
