Varibox CVT Technologies uses an in house developed system to realize its intellectual property.
CVT concepts are conceptualized and refined on 3D CAD while simultaneously in house patent searches are performed to ensure that the concept is unique. Great emphasis is placed on the uniqueness of the concept, and that it NOT represents just an improvement on an existing system.

Above ensures that the CONCEPT of the CVT is new and can be patented as such. Thus any embodiment/implementation of the concept will be protected by the patents and in this way fall in line with our business model.

Both the iCVT and rotorCVT patents together with the iCVT shifter were produced through above process and resulted in very successful patent applications.
